Reflection:
“I firmly believe that nature can bring comfort to all who suffer.” Recently,
Anne liked to go upstairs to the attic, because she could not only take a long,
deep look at God and nature outside through the window, but also Peter was
there. The only window without curtains was right in the loft. Anne simply
stood or sat beside the window, and looked intently at the luxuriant green
trees and the spotless white shy. Anne’s long for going outside grew fast, but
she could only stand by the window and imagine there was fresh leaking in to
the Annex.
Anne felt restless than Peter. I think that it was because Peter at
least had his own little room where he could shut the door, and did whatever he
wanted. On the contrary, Anne had to share a room with Dussel, and there was no
where she could stay alone and thinking. She was exhausted in her heart. Anne
once said that how she acted on the outside was entirely different from her
inside. She had to meet the adults’ expectation, but that was not the real her.
I think Anne was really wretched; there was no one loved her only because she
was Anne.
By the way, I forget to mention that Anne really had her own
stories. She read it to Mrs. Van Daan and Peter, and both of them like it. It’s
a pity that I don’t have the chance to see it.
